The Alberta Government built the Lodge in 1960 then handed the running of this facility over to the Villages of Paradise Valley, Kitscoty, Marwayne, the County of Vermilion River and the City of Lloydminster. Today elected representatives from these municipalities sit on our Board of Directors.
All operating costs for Pioneer Lodge are covered by rent charged to our Residents. The strong community support through monitary donations and memorial donations greatly assist to keep our lodge affordable for all seniors. All donations are graciously accepted and used exclusively for the benefit of our seniors.
Operating strictly under the Alberta Housing Act, Pioneer Lodge has no medically trained individuals on staff. However we work closely with our local Home Care to provide the assistance our residents require.
